Why Photo Albums Matter for Your Family

Photo Albums Last Lifetime

As I mentioned last week about photo prints, they are heirlooms to the pass.  Photo albums are a better gift than sharing a hard-drive. Plus, the way we deliver images changes faster than anyone can keep with up. This puts your family photo archive at risk of not being accessible down the line. Remember, digital files are at high risk of getting deleted, corrupt or even become inaccessible.

It Features the Best Photos of Your Family

A photo album is a way of taking the hundreds of images from one event and selecting them down to the best featured photos. No one wants to sit through hundreds of similar images; they will get a better experience with an album that captures the essence of the experience.

Children Enjoy Flipping Through Family Albums

Reminiscing over albums on family occasions or anniversaries or birthdays is like re-experiencing the joy of old moments and creating new ones. I know as a child one of my favorite things to do is flip through my parent’s wedding album over and over. It was just a book of a dozen 8 x 10 prints, but it really connected to my family from a time I wasn’t even born yet.

It Triggers Older Adult Memories

Photo albums are a great way to open up with an older parent who wants to share family stories. Many times as we are growing up we do not have the same interest in family history until we are much older. So when we do want to know family history, a photo album is a perfect place to get a conversation started with a loved-one.
